1in4 People Ltd

About 1in4 People Ltd

1in4 People Ltd is a community mental health resource centre is Weston Super Mare which also covers Clevedon.

We’re here to support people aged 16 plus. We’re a safe place to be. We understand the problems. But above all, we provide the people who come to us with the tools they need to get well… and stay well. And while recovery is a personal journey, no one is alone. Indeed, we work with a host of amazing organisations, community groups and individuals, all of whom play their part.

Longer term, we are also striving to remove the stigma associated with mental health – to encourage society to regard it as something that can affect us all.

What we do

Drop In

Friend's Drop-In services at Weston-super-Mare and Clevedon offer Members a safe place where they can relax in the knowledge that it is a confidential environment where they will not be judged or stigmatised because of their mental health issues.

People who are new to Friend need to book an appointment with a Worker to discuss what we can offer.

User Focused Mentoring

Each year a team of Service User Volunteers are involved in a project relating to some aspect of Mental Health Service Provision. - Contact us for details.

Advocacy

In mental health, advocacy refers to the support a person receives to enable them to make clear to others what they need and what their views are regarding their care. In other words, to have an independent person stand alongside you to help you get your voice heard.

Do I have to be a member of Friend to receive Advocacy help and support?

It is not necessary to be a Member of Friend in order to use this service. The service is open to all people living in North Somerset of working age with mental health issues.
