What we do

Joining Forces provides a one-on-one Through the Gate mentoring service for ex-military personnel.

Skills 4 Work Course

These qualifications are ideal for individuals who are seeking to improve their employability skills, increase their ability to get a job, develop knowledge in specific sector areas or move into education and training.

The qualifications can be achieved by completing a short course, award or a certificate. and are accredited by The Prince’s Trust.

Recognising that many people lack formal qualifications we actively promote our qualifications to those who need them most, those who are long term unemployed, have been in trouble with the law, have struggled at school or have been in care.

Community Learning Courses

These short courses are designed for anyone who is unemployed, to provide them with the knowledge and skills to prepare for work. The focus of the workshops is to develop a person’s soft skills, like communications and team work that will be invaluable in a future job and will give them self-confidence during their job searching. The courses consist of 4 workshops, spread over a 2 week period and are free to attend. Find out more about the Skills for Work Workshops and whether it could be the right short course for you:
