Somerset IMPACT
What is IMPACT?
IMPACT is a multi-agency team based in Bridgwater, Weston, Taunton and Yeovil but covering the whole of Somerset. IMPACT concentrates its resources on effectively targeting and engaging the most prolific offenders involved in Serious Acquisitive Crime such as burglary, car crime and robbery to address the causes of their offending to break the cycle of crime.

Does it work?
IMPACT started in Somerset in March 2011, the amount of recorded Serious Acquisitive Crime has decreased by 10% and the detection rate has increased.
