1625 Independent People shortlisted for Top Award
Added: 29 June 2015
1625 Independent People is a fabulous charity which supports 16-21 year olds
leaving care and custody. They have been shortlisted down to seven from 640
projects by the National Lottery for the Best UK Charity Project 2015.
They are the only project nominated in the West of England, and have worked with Avon and Somerset on various projects including work helping ex-offenders and preventing re-offending.
Pilar Garcia, Fundraising and Communications Manager said: “We were recently awarded £30k by the Police and Crime Commissioner to help implement Restorative Approaches in our high support services. We’ve worked with Avon and Somerset on various projects, and our Future 4 Me project is the only one shortlisted in the West of England and we
