CRISIS Event Making renting a viable option for homeless people
Added: 19 February 2016
Many individuals who have been supported into housing in the Private Rented Sector live in conditions that are detrimental to their health, very cramped, or were moved far from where they had existing ties.
Despite being unhappy with what should be their home, many individuals feel stuck in their accommodation.
The free event will link property conditions with renters’ physical health and overall well-being. We will discuss the use of licensing schemes, mandatory safety standards and inspections and overcrowding issues.
The event will be a combination of sharing best practice, networking, constructive workshops and expert led panel discussions.
Who is this event for?
This event will be useful for local authorities, access schemes, housing associations, and landlords. Drawing on knowledge from across the sector you will gain best practice skills and expand networks to improve your own services.
WHEN:Tuesday 23 February 2016
WHERE: Exeter Community Centre - 17 Saint Davids Hill Exeter EX4 3RG GB
