The Carlton Centre in Weston Super Mare is the base for the North Somerset Education and Training Consortium.

The service delivers leisure activities, volunteering and short courses aimed at adults with either mental health problems or those recovering from substance misuse difficulties.

Services we Provide

Overview

The Service is mainly aimed at adults with either mental health problems or those recovering from substance misuse difficulties who are not currently working.

We aim to develop accessibility to employment, volunteering, education, leisure activities and encouraging more satisfying lifestyles.

During the past year over half of our clients have joined adult education and training classes and others have gone on to do voluntary or paid work.

What we do

The North Somerset Education and Training Consortium is a partnership of several agencies working throughout North Somerset and based at The Carlton Centre.

We accept referrals through supportive agencies, but also accept self referrals.

The first step is to arrange an Advice and Guidance session where a plan of action will be jointly agreed.

There are charges for some of our courses but we can also offer concessionary rates for individuals recieving benefits.

If you have a support worker and wish them to attend your Advice and Guidance session this is fine.
