UK SMART Recovery

About UK SMART Recovery

SMART stands for - Self Management And Recovery Training - a science-based program that helps people to manage their recovery from addictive any behaviour.

We provide a network of peer support mutual-aid groups across the country, and online.

Meetings are delivered by volunteers in recovery or by professional staff/volunteers from our partner organisations.

Pathways Covered

SMART is a self-help programme that supports people who want to change their problematic behaviour.

This includes; addiction to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, food, shopping, Internet and others.

Guided by trained facilitators, participants learn to help themselves and help each other using a variety of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), motivational tools and other science-based techniques.
