Yeovil College has been serving the community in and around Yeovil for more than 125 years.

Today, Yeovil College remains passionate about its role as a key provider of education and training in South Somerset and North and West Dorset. It remains committed to its role as a tertiary college for the whole community and currently supports around 9000 full and part-time students.

There are lots of reasons why people choose to study at Yeovil College. If it's to help them achieve their aims. Whilst other people might be returning to work after having a family and are looking to re-train so that they can get a job.

Whatever your reasons, we have a wide range of leisure and professional courses on offer which are run through the year, at times to suit you.

What we do

Skills for Life Courses
Do you want to brush up on your English and Maths skills before taking a training course, or want to attend a course to help your career. If English is not your first language, or you want to gain a recognised quailfication to prove and improve your English Language skills. Our Skills for Life courses can help.

Skills for Life courses are free part time adult classes in the morning, afternoon or evening. If you would like to improve your skills in English or Maths skills then these small friendly classes can help. You can work at your own pace and take as much or as little time to achieve as you need. You will work towards a recognised qualification and improve your self-confidence at work and in the home. This may lead you on to another course at Yeovil College or it may help you get ahead at work. There are lots of reasons why people chose to study part-time at Yeovil College. Some would like to try a new hobby and get the opportunity to meet like-minded people. Others might be setting up a business and need some additional skills, such as Bookkeeping or Marketing, to help them achieve their aims. Adult Foundation Learninge
The Foundation Learning team at Yeovil College offer a variety of courses that are individually tailored for adults and school leavers with additional needs. The College has an excellent track record of successfully supporting these students and many progress on to other programmes of education and/or employment. Adult Foundation Learning courses help adults with learning difficulties improve the skills which make life enjoyable and worthwhile.

These courses give entry level students the opportunity to improve basic skills (English and Maths) through practical, fun activities in a relaxed environment.
